Tomorrow is the release of a Knight for Gwenllian, book 7 and the last one of the Welsh Rebels series. She is the daughter of Connor and Esyllt, the couple we see in book 1, a Husband for Esyllt, so we have gone full circle.
Finishing a series is always a great moment, but also bittersweet. Leaving those characters you love is so hard… Fun fact, the series should have ended at book 6, with a Scot for Bethan. In fact, it originally had, and I wrote the Sons of the Wolf series, but Gwenllian, Bethan’s best friend, kept badgering me to write her story. So I obliged and I’m mighty glad I did.
Tomorrow is also the 14th of July, le 14 juillet, which is what we call Bastille Day in France (how original) and also the start of my holiday In Wales, which, unsurprisingly, is where I got a lot of the inspiration for this series and the spin off one I’m writing at the moment, Welsh Hellions.
So I’m sure I’ll pick up many interesting details to add to my stories. Happy days.
